Pricing
One flat 5% per completed order, never more than ₦5,000. No subscription, no commission stack.
Free to join, nothing to pay in a month with no orders, and no contract to get out of. Here is exactly what that costs — next to the two other ways booking software usually charges you.
The three ways booking software charges you
Almost every tool you will be quoted for is one of these. They differ in when the money leaves you, not just how much.
A monthly subscription
One price for the software, billed every month whether or not anyone books you.
You keep 100% of every sale, because the platform takes nothing per booking. The catch is that the invoice arrives in your quiet months too, and on a slow month it can be a large share of what you actually took.
A marketplace commission
The platform takes a percentage of each sale — often around a fifth — usually on the customers it brings you.
There is often no monthly fee, so an empty month costs nothing. But on the sales it does cover, the platform takes a large slice of your work, and booking, calendar and client management tools are usually billed separately on top.
A flat fee per completed order
One small, fixed percentage of each order that actually completes. This is how Bookwik works.
You keep the rest of every sale, there is no monthly fee and no setup fee, and an order that never completes costs nothing. The 5% is capped at ₦5,000, so a ₦100,000 order and a ₦1,000,000 order both cost you ₦5,000 — past that point you keep every extra naira. The fee scales with your revenue instead of sitting above it, and it applies to every booking that completes — the ones the marketplace sends you and the regulars who book direct.
We are describing the models, not naming anyone who uses them. Ask any platform you are considering which of the three it is, what the per-sale rate is, and what it charges in a month with no bookings — those three answers tell you everything.
What a month actually costs, worked out
Same three models, same business, three different months. The subscription figure — ₦25,000 a month — is an illustrative mid-market price; the shape of the cost is the point, not the exact number.

Read across the rows
- In a ₦500,000 month the flat 5% and a ₦25,000 subscription land on the same ₦25,000, while a 20% commission costs ₦100,000 — four times as much.
- Those monthly figures are many ordinary orders. On a single large order the cap does the work: a ₦500,000 order costs ₦5,000, not ₦25,000, and a ₦1,000,000 order still costs ₦5,000.
- ₦25,000 a month is a fixed cost, so it is also the break-even point: a subscription only starts to work out cheaper than 5% once you are completing well over ₦500,000 of orders every single month.
- In a quiet ₦80,000 month that same fixed ₦25,000 eats a third of your revenue, and a 20% commission takes ₦16,000. The flat 5% takes ₦4,000 and leaves you ₦76,000.
- In a month with no completed orders the subscription still bills ₦25,000. Both the commission model and Bookwik cost ₦0 — which is why the fixed monthly fee is the number to interrogate hardest.
- A commission model has no monthly fee either, but it takes four times what a flat 5% takes on every sale it covers, and the cheaper tools in that category often bill booking and calendar features separately.
What the 5% covers — and what it never does
One fee, everything switched on. There is no upper tier to upgrade to and no feature held back.

No setup fee
Registering, verifying your business and going live costs nothing. There is no onboarding fee and no charge for adding services, staff or clients.
No monthly fee
There is no subscription to keep up with. If you take no orders in a month, you pay nothing that month.
No charge on orders that do not complete
A booking waiting for payment is not a completed order, and the 5% only lands when the order completes. If a customer is refunded, the fee taken on that order is reversed with it.
No contract, no lock-in
There is no minimum term and nothing to cancel. You can stop taking bookings through Bookwik at any time with nothing owed.
The full detail sits in our business terms, and the payout timing is spelled out on the FAQ.
Pricing questions
The short answers, in the same order people usually ask them.
How much does Bookwik cost?
It is free to join: no setup fee and no monthly fee. We take 5% of each completed order, capped at ₦5,000 — so a ₦3,500 service costs ₦175, and a ₦500,000 order still costs ₦5,000. You pay nothing at all in a month where you complete no orders. The only other charge is a flat ₦50 bank-transfer fee taken from each payout to your bank.
What happens on a large order?
The fee stops at ₦5,000 per completed order. A ₦100,000 order costs ₦5,000, and so does a ₦500,000 or ₦1,000,000 one — past ₦100,000 you keep every extra naira. A single large job should not hand us a disproportionate share of it, which is why the cap exists.
When exactly am I charged?
Only when an order completes. Creating a booking, sending a client a payment link, or holding a slot while a customer is still deciding costs nothing — the 5% is calculated on the order that completes, and shown on the order in your dashboard.
Is the 5% charged on every booking, or only on new customers?
Every completed order, wherever it came from — the marketplace, your own booking page, a payment link you send, or the widget on your website. There is no separate rate for regulars and no extra commission on marketplace customers.
Are there any other fees I should know about?
One: a flat ₦50 bank-transfer fee taken from each payout to your bank. A settled balance under ₦1,050 waits for your next customer payment rather than handing most of it to the transfer fee. There are no listing fees, storage fees or per-staff charges — every feature is included at the 5%, and the fee is capped at ₦5,000 per order.
What do I pay in a month where I take no bookings?
Nothing. Bookwik takes no monthly fee, so a quiet month costs you ₦0. That is the main practical difference from a subscription, which bills the same amount whether the calendar is full or empty.
Can the fee change?
The rate you join on is the rate you pay. If we ever change platform pricing we will tell you by email before it applies to you, and you are free to stop using Bookwik rather than accept it — there is no contract holding you in.
Is there anything that reduces what I pay?
Yes — our referral program. When a business you referred registers, gets verified and takes its first booking, it counts towards your referral earnings: a flat ₦10,000 for every three businesses that qualify. The earnings are separate from your booking revenue.
